Business owners have been trained to tell people their elevator speech, give out their business cards to as many people as they can and see what comes from the networking events they attend.
The question I ask is, how do you want to be treated at a networking event? Do you want people to listen to you, have conversations with you, or just speak at you about themselves? In order to dress for success at a networking event, you have to learn a few tactics that will change the way you bring yourself into the meetings.
Marianne Williamson, a very well known author and speaker and has said that she never prepares for speeches. She asks her inner guidance to help her affect others for positive transformation. She is a mouthpiece for spirit.
I have seen Marianne speak and she is a very powerful speaker. You can feel the energy come through her as she talks.
Wayne Dyer, another well known author and speaker has said his books are not written by him but through him. He looks to inner guidance and the words flow through him to the paper.
Both of these people have had years of focusing on where they place their energy to be a conduit for spirit.
This did not happen overnight for either of them and they have studied for years on how to reach their inner guidance in this way. Do you know how to focus yourself with spirit to bring the most out of networking events?
Do you dress for success when you attend networking events?
• Serve don’t sell
• Build relationships
• Provide matches
• Create an experience
Be authentic in who you are and allow yourself to feel the energy of the people around you. Serve people, don’t just sell to them. The core to business is serving people and building relationships. Be curious about who they are and what they do. You will learn many things that will help you to serve them.
Spiritualpreneurs are in the business of serving and relationship building. Go into these networking meetings with the intention of prosperity, abundance and serving others. By connecting to people as a spiritualpreneur, they will help you connect to others because they will feel your authenticity coming through. Network events are all about creating matches and relationships with other business owners.
How you project yourself impacts your marketing and your relationships. By connecting with people, you’re trusting that prosperity will flow to you. Activate that belief in your inner guidance before your next meeting and try something new. Hand out a CD, or a business card with a call to action on it. Give people an experience not just a piece of paper.
Support others you meet in their endeavors. Suggest possible matches for them for joint ventures or new business. Don’t only think of what you can get out of the meeting. By helping others get the most out of the meeting, you are putting out the high energy level that will resonate back to you and you will produce more prosperity and abundance in your own business.
Realize though is that no one is perfect. The mistakes you have made in past networking events are in the past. In the 30 Day Empowered Spiritualpreneur Challenge, you will learn the Energy Management System which allows you to be OK with yourself and stop beating yourself up over mistakes you have made. It will allow you to raise your vibration and continue to serve others and stop worrying about what has occurred previously. You will have access to 16+ lessons, a forum of like-minded entrepreneurs to work with, a chance to win a spot in my 6-month Empowered Spiritualpreneur tele-Program ($2,000 value), and much more.

Well it depends from person to person I guess. I honestly would dress up and go for one of these events. Depends on the individual it self I suppose.
Hi,
I think dress doesn’t matter because the identification of the person is through it’s activities. About your post it was really very interesting and i think i like it. Anyways keep it up and keep continue with your valuable thoughts.
I guess I am going to have to make the jump. I have been putting off going to a live events because I don’t like to spend the time and money to travel. However, I need to remember that I am not going to the conference to learn from the presenters…I should be going there to meet joint venture partners.
I think it depends on the audience that you have and the vicinity of the activity. And yes, it also depends on the person. If you are confident when you are well-dressed then I think, you should. There are people who are more at ease when they are in their casual attires.
