Are You Relying On Spirit to Keep Your Personal Assets Safe From Your Business Activities?

Guest post by Alexis Martin Neely

I’m a huge believer in the Law of Attraction and the power of spirit. I credit nearly all of my success in business and life to the power of manifestation and tapping into my own awareness of source.

Yet, there was one area of my life where my mis-understanding about spirituality very nearly destroyed my business and I’m sharing it with you so you don’t make the same mistake.

A common trap among us “spriritualpreneurs” and conscious business owners is that many of us have convinced ourselves that as long as we don’t give our attention to things like lawsuits, tax audits or the like, they won’t happen.

Unfortunately, this just isn’t Truth.

Truth is that things like conflicts, lawsuits, and tax audits do happen.  And, if we establish the right foundation in our business we don’t have to worry about them.

Of course I had to learn this the hard way myself after putting on my “spiritual blinders” for years.

I had (and continue to have) a fundamental belief that everything is perfect, whole and complete.  I wanted to believe that meant that I would sail through life without any roadblocks or challenges.  And that I could trust anyone who spoke my language of trust, truth, and love.

What I didn’t realize is that just because everything is perfect doesn’t mean it will always feel good or be easy.

There were many lessons I had to learn about setting boundaries and holding on to my power that could only be learned by me trusting too easily, giving too much, and experiencing the resulting consequences.

Consequences such as being sued by an employee I gave too much leeway, having to buy half my business from my husband in our divorce because I didn’t document things properly, losing my money to an unscrupulous marketer who used all the right words with me and having to deal with an expensive and time-consuming tax audit.

I had to learn the hard way that what it really means to be a conscious business owner is to make decisions with awareness of reality.  It meant stepping into my power, asking the hard questions, establishing boundaries with an open heart and setting up my business with a LIFT foundation so that I could pursue my highest vision without worry, doubt or fear.

To make absolutely sure you aren’t succumbing to spiritual wishful thinking when it comes to your business, download my LIFT audio program and ensure you have a LIFT foundation in place that will ensure you’ve put the right boundaries between you and your business and the rest of the world.  Do this now so that you and everyone around you, including family, friends, clients, vendors, employees, and even lenders and investors know you are serious about your business and they can count on it and you.

This is what it means to be a truly conscious business owner.  Build your business with your eyes wide open and you can keep your heart open too.

This is a very important post for all. We should always make sure that our personal life and business life is apart from each other and both are in a systematic balance. If we join both personal and professional life then we may face may problems in both the parts as the family gets involved in business and business takes our the home comfort. So its imperative to maintain them separately. And as for tax audits , lawsuits, these are important part of legal dept of a company, these need a regular and careful watch and updation, so that these don’t create a problem on the 11th hour.

I agree with Mike. Anything that can help avoid 11th hour legal problems is definitely worth doing.

I was just researching on the topic of keeping personal and business life apart from each other and I came to your blog. Very nice article it is and you have made the point very clear. In my views it’s not easy to draw a clear dividing line between these two aspects of life but yet smart people can do it.
