Did You Know That Joint Venture & Relationship Marketing Makes Business More Fun?

When you take a look at the trends in business today, you can see that even big corporations are starting to collaborate with each other.

PricewaterhouseCoopers interviewed the top 50 private companies and asked what has made the biggest difference in their growth.

Their answer?

Joint Venture and collaboration. These companies said that collaboration was critical to achieving their objectives – they made trillions through Joint Ventures!

What’s that about?!

They used to be competitors, and now they’re saying, “Hey, maybe it would be a good idea for us to join together.”

This is a complete shift of the human consciousness.

When you look at such best-selling books as Conversations With God, and then look at what the popular business books are, you see that people are buying a lot of business books with a spiritual basis.

They may call it all sorts of other things, but when you come right down to it, this genre of business books is all about the fact that everyone is connected, and it opens the possibility for everyone to come together and connect in an even more powerful way.

There are now an abundance of ways to conduct business from a place of integrity and collaboration, where both all the individuals within the organization and those on the other side of the table (the customers or clients) feel valued.

Hand in hand with working together in this way is the transformation of the whole idea of selling, which is one of my favorite aspects of change in business today.

Many people still have a very negative perception about selling – even among those people actually responsible for selling.

It feels like it’s pushing, manipulating – like I’m trying to get you to buy something you don’t really want, so here are all these little tricks that I’m going to play on you.

This doesn’t feel very good to anyone, including those who are doing the “manipulating.”

There is a trend of people coming to a place of more spirituality in their approach to selling. This a much more authentic approach, and it is more of a coaching conversation than a selling-focused conversation.

It’s a conversation in which I am trying to enter your world so that I can better understand how what I’m offering as a product or service might be of value to you, and in fact, so I can better understand whether or not we do have a match in the first place.

  • How can I support you?
  • How can I help you in moving toward what you want?
  • How can we join together?

It’s a relationship-based approach to marketing.

Business has operated for a long time on the idea that everyone is in competition.

As this shift continues to occur – from selling to serving, from stomping out your competitor to working together with him, I see a lot more collaboration happening at many levels in business today – and a lot more success for everyone involved coming out of that!

It’s still a ways to go before people say there’s no such thing as competition, but people are genuinely starting to recognize that there is so much value to be gained in assisting others in getting more of what they want.

This gets you more of what you want, it gets your clients more of what they want, and it really makes business a more fun and joyful place altogether (as anyone that’s ever participated in a Joint Venture can tell you)!

If you want to hear more about this concept and how being a Spiritualpreneur can actually recession-proof your business along with making it more fun, listen to the recording of a teleclass I held on this subject recently at:  www.coachingfromspirit.com/SPBlog.

Ken Foster from Shared Vision Network joined me on the call, along with Bill White (the Synchronicity Expert), Debbi Chambers (author of Manifest Success), and Chuck Abbott (Top Marketing Trainer).
