Marketing Skills are as Natural as Relationship Building

In the Spiritualpreneur model, marketing is about building a relationship – an energy connection. It manifests success because it is based on creating trust, caring for the other person, and not being attached to the outcome.

The essential idea to activate is that marketing is about building relationships that are aligned with your values and essences. For example, Joint Ventures (JV) are a fast, easy way to expand your business. You just need the knowledge of how to do it and the plans to put a JV program together.

You want to use an inner circle approach. You need to use leverage – it is the KEY to your success. You don’t even need any contacts . . . not even one person in your database. In the new movement of Spiritualpreneurs and among those who want to transform selling into serving, you will find that the process of collaboration, or creating Joint Venture partnerships, is a great way to further your success as an entrepreneur.

I love participating in Joint Ventures with people!

It is a great way to make connections, gain instant credibility with a targeted audience, and create lasting relationships with fellow Spiritualpreneurs.

When you approach someone about entering into a Joint Venture partnership with you, part of your intention is to demonstrate how you can help expose your Joint Venture partner to new people in a way that won’t cost them any money.

This is the win in it for them.

Be careful not to slip back into those old patterns of “selling” – coming to others with a “What’s in it for me” attitude or intention.  Instead, come from a place of serving and be sure to explore what excites them or what jazzes them.

Don’t start out talking about your offer.

Instead, tie it back to how your offer solves their issues or problems. Outline the winning aspects for them.

For example, as a Joint Venture partner with you, they and their products and services will be placed before potential new customers or clients in a way that doesn’t cost them any money.  They get free advertising to all the people on your list and the lists of all the other partners.

As a part of the energy exchange, they will be giving a free or complimentary bonus gift.  The gift or bonus is something downloadable, like an interview as an MP3 recording, an article or a free eCourse that will appeal to the registrants and can drive the registrants to their site.

The gifts should provide something substantial – something of benefit to the recipients.

What essentially happens in this type of Joint Venture is that you are combining the power of the lists of all the Joint Venture partners, which means each of you has the opportunity to have yourself, your programs, services and products presented to new people at no cost.

Sounds like a win-win for everyone!  So how do you get started?

As with every next step that you wish to take as a Spiritualpreneur, it is important to manage your energy around this process before taking the outer level actions you will need to achieve it.

That being said, here is a checklist that I have found to be very helpful in making those initial contacts and follow-through appointments with potential Joint Venture partners.

First, script the essences – the Key Points – for talking to a potential JV partner:

  • Begin with your intentions
  • Invite them to share their intentions
  • Tell them the goal is to share some ideas you have to help support them and see how you can best support them in their goals; you are creating a Joint Venture in a whole new way and want to see if this feels like a fit for them
  • You are not attached to any specific outcome
  • Tell them why you feel they are a fit to work with you
  • Appreciate them and what you know of them and their work
  • Speak from a place of connection; there is no accident you are talking to this person
  • Share that your goal is to create a whole new way to do a Joint Venture based on true alignment, connection, and trust and co-creation
  • I want to attract and align with people that want a more integrative experience, something that is beyond a one-time JV, and really support them to their goals because I believe in you and what you are doing
  • Then ask questions about what they are most jazzed about that they are doing right now – that they would like more support on.  Ask – what are the things that they are up to that are really feeling exciting to them?
  • Listen and really notice what is exciting to them
  • Ask questions to find out more about what they are saying – get them talking
  • Then ask if you can share a bit about what you are doing
  • Share that you are someone that loves to make connections and you are excited to be a sort of energy agent

Bringing these types of partnerships together goes hand in hand with the Transforming Selling to Serving process!

Here’s an example of a script for initial contact from my own Joint Venture process:

As the Founder of Coaching from Spirit, my intention is to use an Inner and an Outer approach for people to build businesses; and I train people to be Empowered Spiritual Coaches.

  • I saw the pain in people starting a business – trying to use Law of Attraction and being fragmented.
  • My goal is to align with people for a long term relationship and support their work.
  • One thing that I am committed to doing is masterminding with my alliance partners on what is working in marketing – to show people how to have more freedom – and I am creating a JV team so I can multiply your energy and my energy.
  • What is in it for them?
  1. Masterminding, energy exchange and learning how to create a Joint Venture.  More ease.
  2. That I will share with the alliance members how to consistently create sales and leads on a monthly basis using the concept of teleseminars, email campaigns, JV teams and sales teams.
  3. I am going to be an open book to my JV alliance team.
  4. Sharing my copy – my strategies
  5. We come together to show that you can leverage contacts and resources and to do JV in a whole new way – A way that is focused on relationships, alignment, synergy and the Law of Attraction.  That is why I chose you to be a member of this alliance team.

I am going to do a Joint Venture the way I would want someone to do it with me!

Again, be thinking and be holding the intention about what is in this for them.

When you have finished speaking or are following up in an e-mail, ask, “How does this sound to you? What resonates about what I have shared so far?”

Find a starting point to support them and go from there!

Very true facts. I agree with you and I have quoted the part that really like the most.

“It manifests success because it is based on creating trust, caring for the other person, and not being attached to the outcome.”

  2. Matt from Business Christmas Hampers says:

Gifts are a brilliant way to build relations with clients as it helps to show them you care about their custom and that you are trying to provide the best service possible. If they are enjoying the service then there are more likely to stay with it and recommend it to someone else.

  3. Rob says:

I completely agree with you, Matt. Gifts are a good idea because it can bring you and your client together on more of a personal level. It lets them know that you are serious about the business relationship and want to sustain it and more forward. I also feel that marketing yourself is just as important as marketing the business/company. It shows how serious you want to be and the added work you are putting into your career.
