The Energy of Sales

Think about the energy that most people have about selling or being sold to. It is a one way kind of feeling. You either try to get people to do something or you put up barriers so people can’t “sell” you.
Selling is typically not a very honoured profession. A lot of people in sales won’t come out and say, “I’m in sales”. They usually call it something else!
There’s just this lower level energy around “sales” – it’s often perceived as a less valuable role.
Few people get excited when telemarketers call.
Why?
It’s because they don’t feel the person really cares about them. They only want the sale.
You may have grown up hearing from your family and the world around you a sort of collective “group think”. It is how you learned to look at life.
You’ve heard, for example, that selling is really “hard” and that it causes you to have to manipulate people and convince them of your value. You may think things like:
- I don’t want to sell people.
- I don’t like when it comes to the time to talk about money.
- I love to talk to people, but when I feel like I have to close them I don’t like that.
You may not realize that beliefs like these are sending out telepathic signals. Whenever you think, “I am not good at selling” or “I hate talking to people about money” or “It doesn’t work well for me”, you are demonstrating lower level energy beliefs.
These limiting beliefs match you up with other people with the same lower level beliefs or energy activated in them. You unconsciously perpetuate this limiting belief by the actions you take or don’t take.
So how can you serve your identified niche and make the switch from “Selling” to “Serving” those customers/clients within your own unique niche?
This is about how you would begin your own unique transforming selling to serving process.
Setting your intention and becoming clear on it is critical to your success. There is a notable difference between the intentions of selling as compared to serving.
Most people think selling is convincing or manipulating. A lot of individuals feel like they are in a lesser position and they need to convince people of their value, or they feel it is demeaning – “Oh no, I am selling!”
I like to see it differently, as serving. And I see each selling experience as a sacred serving opportunity.
I want you to see selling become a serving process that is a burning desire inside of you. I know that when you see and feel that selling IS truly serving, you will be of true service to the world and you will help create new paradigms for how you do business.
It truly begins with you!
- Serving is tapping into a higher frequency of energy – call it Spirit or Source – it is about your work as part of the bigger whole.
- Serving is opening your mind to tap into your passion and to discover how your passion allows you to creatively serve for the good of all concerned.
- Serving is being creative in how to connect with others. It is manifesting your ideas in relationships to others.
- Serving is holding an intention for the highest good to be served.
You have the ability to create the life of your choice by doing the work of your choice.
