What Does it Mean to be a Spiritualpreneur in Your Own Business?

Spiritualpreneurs are people that are really feeling called to do some kind of business, but in a different way than business is “normally” done.
I want to make it clear – being a Spiritualpreneur doesn’t have anything do to with having a “spiritual” kind of business – a healer, massage therapist, acupuncturist, psychic reader, etc. – those type of professions that are more “spiritually” oriented.
That’s not what being a Spiritualpreneur is about!
A Spiritualpreneur might be someone that owns a franchise, or works in the stock market, or someone that is also a mom-preneur.
It’s not about what you DO.
It is about HOW you want to experience your own business.
Spiritualpreneurs are those that recognize that business is just as important to run from an Inner level as it is from an Outer level. They are people that want to apply Universal Principles in their business because they can see the peace and success that it brings.
Spiritualpreneurs are people that have some sort of calling inside them to do something more – to make a difference – to serve others in a way that is beyond the sole goal of making money or attaining success.
I have had the opportunity to work with Spiritualpreneurs in many varied lines of business.
I worked with a Vice President of a bank that really felt a calling to serve people; she thought about doing volunteer work or changing her career. She actually ended up in one of my coaching programs and now consistently has clients!
It’s not only an extra added income stream for her, but it fulfills her desires and she likes what she’s doing.
One person that I started working with recently went through cancer. She is in remission and healed from the cancer, but one thing she noticed was that there wasn’t really a lot of support for cancer patients after all the treatments happened.
There can be long-term, residual physical issues from the ways of treating cancer. And this woman saw that there was really a need to work with people, to support them and hold their hand after they’ve gone through that journey.
Oftentimes people that have gone through this feel depressed – they’re really concerned and worried that it’s going to come back. They become almost compulsive about any little issue that happens because they’re not feeling safe in their bodies.
So she created a business that is about working with people after they’ve been let loose from the medical establishment. She is creating programs and info. products that not only bring her additional income, but truly help to serve people as well in an area that has been neglected and needed for a long time!
She does this in addition to her current job that she works in. And she says, “You know, I like what I’m doing, but I want to do both.”
We are really coming into this age of Renaissance once again, where people can do different things, and satisfy different aspects of themselves – where people are beginning to realize once again that no one is one-dimensional – that all people have many facets and it is important to give each one their proper credence and attention!
I also have worked with a landscaper whose work is very seasonal. He is in the Eastern US, and during the landscaping times in the summer and spring he has a full time landscaping business that he has leveraged and had a lot of people working for him in.
But during the times when it’s cold and he’s not really doing as much work, he really is focusing in on his spiritual coaching business! Instead of turning to something like snow removal, or even going to Florida or something in the winter – well, he does spiritual coaching in the winter!
He keeps a connection with his clients during the summer, but he does more group work and seminars and workshops and saves more of the one on one for winter time, so he’s really setting up his own business in a way that fits him!
There’s another person I work with was a stockbroker. He does a lot of his work online, and he travels around quite a bit, but he also has a spiritual coaching business as part of that.
A lot of the people that come into spiritual coaching are not people that want to do it full time – many of them just want to do maybe a workshop a month or something, which both fulfills their desire for service and can potentially bring in quite a lot of extra income for them.
For the Spiritualpreneur, it’s just finding that Inner section so that it really makes sense. It starts with really being clear on managing your energy and understanding that you CAN create what you want. That puts you so far ahead of anyone else when it comes to what may be going on in the world or in the economy!
If you’re interested in learning more about this idea, and you want some free (I know you like the sound of that!) insight on how others have done this, listen to a free teleclass I did recently that talks about really moving forward to success in these times.
The class is directed toward spiritual life coaches, but many of the same principles apply to you as Spiritualpreneurs that are looking for a new way to attain business success no matter what is going on in the world around you.
There is also a bonus at the end of the call of a Round Table panel discussion with some amazing Spiritualpreneurs – Joe Nunziata, Stefanie Hartman and Rich German – you’ll really benefit from hearing what they have to say!
